Child and Adolescent Services

Our child and adolescent therapy services are short-term, evidence-based, and designed to meet kids and teens where they are. We create a safe space for youth and teens to share feelings, build skills, improve family relationships, and build emotion wellbeing and resilience.

We involve parents throughout the process to give them tools to support their child’s emotional wellbeing, address challenging behavior, and reduce parenting stress. We also collaborate with schools if helpful to support the child and teen’s wellbeing.

Our Approach To Healing

Our therapists create a space where children and teens feel seen, heard, and respected. We take time to build trust first – because healing starts with connection. We have considerable expertise in evidence-based therapy approaches and integrate the strategies that will best support your child, teen, and family. We also incorporate play, art, and other creative forms of expression relevant for the child, teen, or young adult’s development and areas of interest.

Each therapy plan is tailored to your child’s or teen’s unique needs, strengths, and pace of recovery.

We use evidence-based interventions proven effective through mental health research. Core components include:
  • Cognitive-behavioral skill building
  • Social-emotional skill building
  • Mindfulness and contemplative practices
  • Parent support and coaching
  • Gradual exposure techniques for anxiety and trauma
  • Emotion-focused communication training
